Last Man
Standing

The record that broke the room open

Recorded in eleven days in a converted chapel outside Nashville, Last Man Standing is the sound of a band deciding to stop sanding its own edges. The amps stayed loud, the takes stayed first, and the quietest moment — the closing hymn — was cut at 2 a.m. with the whole band around one microphone.

It went on to anchor every headline set since, and its title track still closes the show. If you own one Nightreel record, make it this one. If you own two, the second is on vinyl for a reason.
